PSX Secret Cult is a prototype of a 3D third person PSX-inspired game where the player plays the role of a man down on his luck, with his car breaking down right as he was passing through an unfamiliar, possibly terror-ish town.

Controls

  • You move around with the WASD keys.
  • You use your weapon with a Left Mouse Click.

Game (including art/assets) made by JoggleBrott.

  • *Some assets are inspired by work from AaronMYoung's Project Nostalgia.
  • **Two building textures are edited versions of ones provided with the Buildings Generator Blender Addon.

Sounds by John Leonard French (Ultimate Game Music Collection) and Imphenzia(Universal Sound FX)

This game was developed within a 9 day time-frame for The Secret Cult Horror Jam.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish the game and I was also not able to incorporate the optional themes; "It's Spreading" and "We're Friends"

There are many unintended bugs in the WebGL build such as the mouse not looping around fully (to counter this, I have increased the mouse sensitivity), timeline audio not playing (train and car make no movement noise) and the forced 4:3 aspect ratio is not always being enforced.

There's an executable version to download if you'd prefer to play it in optimal way where issues such audio not working correctly and the mouse not looping around fully aren't prevalent.
